Štěpán Flieger will be the new head of EY’s Mergers & Acquisitions team starting in March. He will replace Petr Kříž, who has led the M&A team for the past three years and will now manage the assets of well-known Czech entrepreneur Pavel Bouška, the owner of Vafo Praha.
“EY has long been a leader on the M&A market in the Czech Republic and the wider Central & Eastern Europe region. We advise important Czech entrepreneurs, international corporates and private equity funds on their acquisitions and divestments. I would like to thank Petr Kříž for his leadership in taking EY to the position as the leading M&A adviser on the Czech market in 2016 and wish him every success with Vafo. Štěpán Flieger has been instrumental in building our M&A team in recent years and will continue to focus on growing our M&A business. Štěpán brings to his new role extensive experience providing M&A advice to buyers and sellers. I believe he will successfully continue to develop the team and our transaction advisory business in the Czech market,” says Peter Wells, Head of Transaction Advisory Services in the Czech Republic.
The new head of EY’s M&A, Štěpán Flieger, has more than 10 years’ experience with domestic and foreign transactions at EY. He has experience in a wide variety of sectors. He has long been active in the healthcare sector, where he has been behind the sale of the companies Santé and Medicover, among others.
Before joining EY, Štěpán Flieger was as an automotive market analyst for Renault CZ.
