Salvation Army: Looking back to the running season 2012

AS

This running season is almost over, so it's perhaps the right time for its evaluation. The number of kilometres and time in finish are important, but for us, it's not the main thing. For the third year already we have been, in cooperation with The Prague International Marathon, involved in a series of charity runs, which allows the general public to support charity in an easy way. Just buy your starting number right at the Salvation Army, and half of the fee goes to charity and the support of our projects.

In addition to good feeling from running, we are happy that this year we were supported by 125 runners who participated in the Prague Hervis ½ Marathon, Volkswagen Marathon, Olomouc ½ Marathon and Mattoni Grand Prix in Prague. Thanks to them, we received financial support amounting to 85,000 CZK, which were used to buy a washer, dryer and 13 new beds for Prague's shelter.

City runs are over for this year, but during winter we can train together and look forward to the next season when you can again get involved in our projects and together with us enjoy the good feeling of running with the joy of helping those who need it.

Thank you for your support and see you at the start next year.
