Effective January 1, 2022, Martina Kneiflová, formerly a tax partner and leader of the Czech Republic’s human resources advisory team, who is responsible for mobility and immigration in the CEE region and is also a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic, will lead EY CR. She will replace Magdalena Souček, under whose leadership the Company recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in the Czech Republic.

Martina Kneiflová, a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, has been with EY for more than 22 years. After graduation she joined Arthur Andersen as a tax consultant; that firm subsequently joined and became part of the international EY network. Since the beginning of her career, she has been a tax consultant. In her role as a senior partner at EY CR, she will be tasked with maintaining and further developing the broad range of services that EY provides to its clients.

“I see my appointment as both a great challenge and a commitment. My effort will be to naturally build on what EY has succeeded in building so far under Magdalena Souček's leadership. And, of course, to seize all opportunities to further develop the Company in the spirit of our motto: Building a better working world,” says Kneiflová.

Souček will continue to be associated with EY, for example, through the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year competition, which she announced for the 22nd time this year and whose reputation and prestige she helped build in the Czech Republic. Thanks to this competition, successful Czech entrepreneurs are discovered every year and given the opportunity to present their talent and know-how at the global finals of the competition. She will also act as an advisor to the company and work on CSR projects.

“Like everything in life, a company has a biorhythm it follows and sooner or later the time comes to hand over the reins to the next generation. I am now passing the leadership of the Company to my successor, Martina Kneiflová, in a more than healthy condition and a situation in which EY is doing better than we expected despite the challenges of today's difficult times. Of this, I am glad and proud”, says Magdalena Souček of her departure from top management. Her name has become synonymous in the Czech business environment and beyond with corporate consulting and auditing and is firmly associated with the EY brand. She adds: “Martina has been with EY for many years; she has a wealth of experience in leadership positions and I’m very pleased it is she who is taking the proverbial scepter. I know that EY will be well looked after in her hands.”
