LEGO has won the 2023 Randstad Award for the Best Employer in the Czech Republic. The company received the most votes from respondents across a range of businesses and industries, who highlighted its excellent reputation, financial stability and job security. The transport machinery manufacturer Škoda Transportation came in second, followed by the automotive manufacturer Škoda Auto in third place. Microsoft is the first company to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, winning three consecutive times between 2020 and 2022. The survey, which assesses employees’ opinions of their employers, is based on a survey conducted by the Randstad recruitment agency called Employer Brand Research (REBR).

Randstad conducts REBR surveys in more than thirty countries around the world. The Czech Republic joined the list in 2018. In the same year, Czech employees voted for the first time in the Randstad Award survey of the most attractive employers operating on the Czech labour market. The survey is unique in that it is conducted among employees, i.e. those who have direct personal experience of their organisation’s HR strategy, corporate culture and general environment.  The ranking is based on their opinions on ten key factors, or Employee Value Propositions (EVPs), that reflect the attractiveness of employers to employees.

“The results of the Randstad Award survey show that employees value the financial stability of the company most when assessing the winning companies,” says Martin Jánský, CEO of Randstad Czech Republic. “Other key factors include the employer’s good reputation and job security, salary and benefits, career growth opportunities and interesting work. Congratulations to the winners!"

This year, LEGO was named the best employer. “The company’s result shows that it is a great employer with an excellent reputation and financial stability, able to offer job security,” adds Martin Jánský.

Škoda Transportation came in second and Škoda Auto third in this year’s Randstad Award. “All three of the most successful companies are valued by employees mainly for their financial stability and job security. Škoda Transportation also attracts employees thanks to the opportunities for career growth, and Škoda Auto wins them over with attractive salaries and benefits,” explains Martin Jánský.

Microsoft, which dominated the poll for three consecutive years between 2020 and 2022, was not among the companies surveyed this time, instead becoming the first member of the newly established Hall of Fame. “Membership in the Hall of Fame is an exceptional award proving that the company has achieved excellent results in the area of human resources and employee satisfaction over the long term,” concludes Martin Jánský. “I am convinced that there will be more and more such companies and that the number of the Hall of Fame members will grow in the years to come.”
