Effective June 1, Jan Kropáček has taken over responsibility for the commercial activities of Air France-KLM from Guido Hackl, who, after many years as Sales Manager, will continue with Air France-KLM as Country Manager for Austria. In his new role, Jan Kropáček will be responsible for managing the sales strategy and developing commercial relationships for Air France-KLM in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. He will thus continue to play a key role in strengthening the airline’s position in the Central European region.
Jan Kropáček (51) has been with Air France-KLM since 2002 and has held key commercial positions throughout his more than two decades with the company. He steps into his new role from the position of Key Account Manager for the Czech Republic, where he was responsible for managing relationships with major business partners, corporate clients, and institutional customers, including embassies, chambers of commerce, and Prague Airport.
“I am pleased to continue the work of our commercial team in the Czech market, where our Air France-KLM Group maintains a stable share in air transport,” says Kropáček, adding: “One of my goals is to increase and gradually transition our sales to NDC (New Distribution Capability), a new platform for distributing and showcasing our products. But that’s not all. We will focus on supporting new routes and boosting sales to popular destinations within our global network. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of our Flying Blue loyalty program, and we will support the direct route to New York operated by our partner Delta Air Lines. And last but not least—and for me, most importantly—we will deepen cooperation with our key partners from travel agencies and corporate clients.”
Jan Kropáček is a graduate of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, where he studied to become a teacher with a focus on history and the French language. In addition to Czech, he speaks fluent French and English.
