The National Gallery Prague – home of one of Rembrandt's masterpieces fascinating, yet still rather enigmatic portrait of Scholar in His Study (1634) – in co-operation with Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne - would like to pay homage to the 350th anniversary of the master's death by staging the representative exhibition Inside Rembrandt.
The exhibition will take place at Kinsky Palace, centrally located premise of the National Gallery, which hosts the exhibitions of highest importance such as Henry Rousseau’s exhibition Douanier Rousseau: Painter’s Paradise Lost prepared in cooperation with Musée d’Orsay or extremely successful retrospective of Gerhard Richter, the first in East-Central Europe.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the richly illustrated catalogue with essays and entries dedicated to each of the exhibited artworks discussed in detail. The catalogue will be published in Czech as well as English version.
Extensive offer of special programmes is planned in close co-operation with The Education Department of the National Gallery Prague, including workshops, seminars and courses, together with guided tours designed for diverse public. The offer includes but is not limited to:
