Healthy 5, the unique educational project of Albert Foundation, announces the nationwide popular children’s cooking show Coolinaření se Zdravou 5. This year’s competition is enriched by another dimension – children will prepare healthy meals and suggest with whom and why will they share the snack to please the person. Teams of three children from kindergartens, primary schools, orphanages and other non profit organizations in age from 5 to 15 years, can register. The closure for applications to regional rounds is on 7th April 2017.
“Even this year, the discipline in the competition is to prepare a healthy snack. Every year we bring the innovations to the competition, so this year we would like to bring the kids to understanding that food should be prepared with love and then happily enjoyed when dined. The combination of social and nutritive topics is logical connection of key activities of Albert Foundation, which has been involved in promoting healthy lifestyle for children and their parents and support of education, integration and development of children from socially disadvantaged environment,” explains news in project Eva Nepokojová, the coordinator of Healthy 5.
The professional jury will evaluate not only the composition of the meal, but also the attractive appearance and the idea, how the teams deal with the competitively prepared meal. The value of meal for four persons should be around 100 crowns. The purchase of ingredients in this value is reimbursed to schools by Albert purchase vouchers. The task of the teams is to suggest to whom they will donate prepared meal and make him happy. “It can be lonely woman from neighborhood, grandparents in an old people’s home, school teachers, cooks from school cantine, long-term sick classmate, but also parents and so on,” adds Eva Nepokojová.
The cooking contest Coolinaření se Zdravou 5 can join teams of three members in four competition categories. The competitive discipline is cold or hot healthy snack. Recipe along with photographs from preparation and delivery of meals, including the selection of gifted person, can be registered by each team via website www.zdrava5.cz until the 7 April 2017. The professional jury will evaluate not only the composition and attractive appearance, but the concept of registration fulfilling the criterions as well.
To the national finals, the jury of the contest will select the best 5 teams from each category from all over the Czech Republic. The finals will be held in mid-May in Prague and will be full of surprises. The winner can await a special experience rewards!
