CZ-SK Initiative ECR is the National Partner of Lean & Green Europe, which is the most significant program for sustainable logistics in Europe. Originated in Netherlands 12 years ago, is now available in 15 countries in Europe and Canada. One of more than 550 participants is Budějovický Budvar, which received its Award earlier this year and now we could see their trucks and trailers with Lean & Green Europe Award logo on the roads. Based on common effort of CZ-SK ECR Initiative & Packaging Institute Syba was launched - Packaging Design for Recycling as national guidelines to increase awareness about packaging and its recyclability.
Next step agreed by the project team, which involve experts from Tesco Stores, Penny Market, Unilever, Orkla Foods, Thimm Packaging, Grainer Packaging, Tetra Pak, ALPLA, and is supported by Svaz Obchodu, Ekokom, GS1 Czech Republic would be to establish common platform for sharing experience and best practices to promote sustainability and recyclability of packaging.
