HEINEKEN Česká republika has a new Managing Director, effective 1 June 2016. Nikolay Mladenov is coming from Bulgaria where he managed HEINEKEN Zagorka Bulgaria. Zuzana Železníková, previous Managing Director, had resigned from her post for health reasons to focus on her recovery.
After joining HEINEKEN in 2000, Nikolay Mladenov spent eight successful years in Sales and Trade Marketing. Following a career as a Country Manager in the DIAGEO group, he returned to HEINEKEN in 2011 to work as Sales Director for Bulgaria. Assisted by his team, he significantly strengthened the company’s position in the Bulgarian market. Nikolay Mladenov was appointed Managing Director of HEINEKEN Zagorka in 2013.
Nikolay Mladenov wants to focus on further improving the profitability and position of HEINEKEN’s brands in the Czech Republic. ‘The Czech market is globally unique. I am honoured to come to a country with such exceptional beer culture, which I will treat with utmost respect,’ comments Nikolay Mladenov.
