The dealer group sold 90 % more cars compared to the same period of 2014 and half more than in 2015. The group's overall turnover increased similarly.
The sales and turnover of the second largest dealer group, Auto Palace, are continuously growing. This was also the case of the first quarter of this year. The group sold a total of 3 012 new cars in the first 3 months, which presents 10 % increase compared to 2016. However, the interesting figures come up in comparison with the previous quarters when the group increased sales by more than 50 % in 2015 and by almost double (90 %) in 2014.
In the first quarter, customers bought twice as many new cars as in 2014
Auto Palace Group has been extremely successful over past 3 years. Compared to the same quarter of 2014, new car sales increased by 90 percent and the group's total turnover is almost double compared to the same period in 2014 (98 percent). Looking back to quarter results in 2015, the number of cars sold increased by more than half (51 %) and Auto Palace's turnover increased by 56 %. Compared to last year's quarter, the group also boosted the number of new cars sold, specificly by 10 %. The group sold the largest number of Ford, Hyundai and Skoda brands.
Auto Palace is also boasting sales
Used cars have had a growing tendency at Auto Palace. Compared to the quarters of 2014 and 2015, the dealer group sold half more, compared with last year the company increased the sales by 12 %.
"The first quarter of 2017 represented the expectation of the end of the CNB's interventions and the currency reinforcement against euro. The actual change in the exchange rate has been very small, but Auto Palace aims to pass on any savings to the customer, "says Ralph Howie, CEO of Auto Palace for the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
