One of them was from marketing branch, the others three for ESG, sustainability, corporate social responsibility and community help.
Albert collected two awards in prestigious Advertising Effectiveness Award – Effie. The first prize was for the change in communication strategy with the slogan "It's worth eating better", the marketing team together with the agencies were awarded with the main prize - the Grand Prix. In addition, they also won gold in the Long-term Brand Building category. This transformation was primarily driven by Kateřina Harris, VP of Marketing in Albert.
Albert have defended TOP 10 ranking in the ESG Rating and was the only food retailer who received a prestigious TOP 10 ranking among large companies in the second year of the independent comparison of sustainability and non-financial reporting in the Czech Republic. Albert scored in the rankings with 135 participants. The other companies were e.g. ČEZ, Moneta, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, ČSOB, Komerční banka, Letiště Praha, Veolia or Hyundai.
ESG Raters particularly praised Albert's environmental activities, such as reducing the carbon footprint and plastics, and in particular its role as a pioneer in reducing the amount of unsold food. The results were published by Forbes magazine.
TOP Responsible Company has been organised by platform Business for Society and evaluates companies by independent jury of 50 experts for 20 years. Albert receive first prize as Trendsetter for a systematic and long-term approach to sustainable and responsible business. Jury also appreciated significant improvements in all areas of rating. Albert clearly defined development strategy, emphasizes salesquality and products that support healthy lifestyles, care are for employees and promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
Albert Foundation awarded by Donors‘ Forum
Albert foundation succeeded in the prestigious Donors' Forum Awards for 2023. Thanks to its own and successful project "Obchůdky s Albertem" Albert won 3rd place in the Charity Communication Project category.
