Summer is in full swing and EKP Advisory will be welcoming 22 economics students for a paid summer internship. The firm's management expects that many of them will also become their future colleagues. The first internship began on Monday, August 7, 2023, and the program will involve professionals from various departments ranging from IT to marketing.
"There will be two rounds of internships at the company, the first from August 7 to 11 and the second from August 14 to 18. We have prepared a really varied programme. First, the students will learn about the running of the firm and IT matters, then they will be taken over by fellow tax advisors. During the week, they will be in charge of tax administration and, after the training on DPPO and VAT, also the preparation of the relevant tax returns," says Jan Kotala, Managing Director of EKP Advisory.
A very specific point in each week's internship programme will be the preparation of regular professional online meetings (EKPokec) or newsletters (EKPrůvodce). Wednesday afternoons will be dedicated to sports activities such as beach volleyball or golf.
The students were introduced to the internship project at the May Chance Fair at the University of Economics, where they expressed their interest in the company's operations. "The job is a balanced mix of duties and fun for us. We believe that this will appeal to young people and they will want to start their career with us," adds Jan Kotala.
