Petr Kříž, partner in the Assurance services department of PwC Czech Republic, was today appointed Deputy President of the Federation of European Accountants (FEE) by its General Assembly. For the last six years he was Vice-president responsible for the area of financial reporting and he was Chairman of the Banks working party.
“The position of Deputy President is a great acknowledgement not only for me but also for the whole Czech audit profession. At the same time, it is a challenging role because of big changes that are currently underway. These changes are related to corporate reporting and the confidence of financial markets towards the future of European assurance services”, said Petr Kříž.
Petr Kříž (50) is Partner in PwC Czech Republic leading financial services. In 2001-2004, he was the President of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. He is also a member of the working group for audit reform to the Minister of Finance, and sits on the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the University of Economics in Prague, as well as the Governance and nominating committee of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and is chairman of the board of trustees of Transparency International o.p.s . He devoted himself to the area of financial instruments and the audit thereof. In addition to this, he is also focused on financial services and their proper regulation.
