Albert has donated a new delivery van to a Prague food bank. The food bank can now deliver hundreds of kilos of fresh, unsold food each week from Albert to people in need – including single mothers, the elderly and families in crisis.
Albert has been partnering with food banks for nine years. Last year, Albert donated 422 tons of products to the Federation of Food banks across the Czech Republic - 40 per cent more than in 2018.
“Albert’s gift is a great help as it will enable us to deliver food for 24,000 people in 155 organisations, every day, in Prague and nearby. Unsold food can therefore support people in need,” said Věra Doušová, the Chairwoman of the Food Bank for Prague and Central Bohemia.
