Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge famous mainly for its original drinks by the bartender guru Roman Uhlíř and a unique view of Prague, was reopened after a two-week, twenty-four-hour-a-day, intensive reconstruction. It now offers guests new, luxurious design.
The bar design has completely changed for the first time since its opening six years ago. The author of the new concept is Hélène Novák, a French-born architect from Ian Bryan Architects who was in charge of the whole renovation. Cloud 9 has received a new, dynamic face and an easily recognizable theme, complemented with the logo image and the violet corporate colour. The architects have used expressive geometric patterns in the interior that are repeated in a specially made carpet and in decorations at the bar and on the screens dividing the sitting area. Thanks to the use of the cold colour range on the furniture, carpet and other elements, the design will also work great in the afternoon operation, which Cloud 9 is planning to introduce. But it really comes alive at night, thanks to special lights reflected in the new design elements.
Not only the interior has been changed but also seating capacity has been increased by twenty percent. Higher tables are an important aspect as they bring more comfort for guests. This change is related to an extension of the menu. Now, you can enjoy a complete dinner from soup to dessert.

Roman Uhlir is a co-creator of the Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge concept, and he has been its mixologist and manager since its opening in 2008. He is chairman of the Prague section of the Czech Bartenders Association (www.cbanet.cz). In cooperation with the Hilton Prague hotel, he led the Cloud 9 sky bar & lounge Bartending School from 2010 to 2012, not only for bartenders from the Czech Republic, but also within the network of Hilton Hotels in Europe. Roman Uhlíř is a co-author of the manual for bars within the Hilton Worldwide chain in Europe – Perfect Serve.
