Air France, a leading European airline, continues to innovate and to provide the best travel experience to passengers travelling in business class. Between June 2014 and the summer of 2016, the airline will install a total of 2,102 new seats in 44 of its Boeing 777 aircraft, the core of the airline's long-haul fleet.
Designer Mark Collins from Design Investment paid special attention and care to every detail of the intricately modelled seat. Its luxurious rendering is underscored by the leather upholstery, an upholstered headrest, and perfect topstitching. This sophisticated ergonomic seat will immediately envelop the passenger with an aura of top-level care and literally invite him to take a refreshing rest or have a good quality sleep during a long flight. The seat can be instantly converted into a comfortable bed with a large soft pillow and a warm comforter. Air France developed it in collaboration with ZodiacAerospace, a world leader in aircraft seat manufacture.
Direct aisle access from each seat and the complete privacy offered by the curves of the spacious seat contribute to the welcomed comfort of passengers. A 16-inch intuitively controlled high resolution screen with a touch screen handset, similar to a large tablet, offers more than one thousand hours of entertainment, as well as an abundance of information during the flight. The new user interface offers communication in 12 world languages. Noise-reduction headphones and an USB port are standard features of each seat. Air France underscores the comfort of travelling in its new business class by an abundance of storage space for personal items, adjustable lighting, and first-class cuisine prepared by a Michelin star holder.
In its Transform 2015 plan, Air France continues to develop its services to the highest possible standard and is planning to invest over 500 million euros into its new services.
