TMF Group host HR and payroll breakfast event in Prague
More than 22 HR and payroll professionals gathered at TMF Group’s Prague office on Thursday 22 October for a breakfast seminar presented by the Global Business Services provider, in collaboration with law and tax firm, PETERKA & PARTNERS.
The HR and payroll event provided attendees with the opportunity to discuss many of the industry’s key topics with leading experts; how to attract and retain talent in the highly competitive Czech labour market, the top 10 benefits provided by employers – meal vouchers, extra holidays, mobile phones among them – versus employee expectations; 13th salary, car, possible home office and more.
The importance of office location and working environment for Czech employees was also discussed, as companies look at how to accommodate a more “demanding” new generation that values work-life balance and short commute times.
Frédéric Labiche, Managing Director of TMF Group in the Czech Republic opened the seminar, with Senior Manager Martina Hrdličková and Account Manager Bohuslava Mašková sharing insights on local payroll processing: health and safety including work medical examinations, annual leave and related conditions, hiring, probation and notice periods.
Zuzana Potočková, attorney-at-law and Head of Tax at PETERKA & PARTNERS, discussed HR benefits and how they factor in to Czech payroll and taxation.
All of the participants including keynote speakers joined an open debate, with a wide range of opinions shared. Based on excellent feedback received from those who attended, TMF Group will be looking to host similar events on a range of business topics for the Czech market in the near future.
