Pavel Šenych, Vice-Chairman of the NCCC Board of Directors, welcomed the audience and passed his word to H.E. Ed Hoeks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Ambassador Hoeks summarized the main ideas of the Throne Speech that King Willem-Alexander gave in the Ridderzaal earlier that day, mentioning the impact of Brexit on the Netherlands, state of unemployment in the Netherlands and the terrorism threat in Europe.
Ad van Dongen, Innovation Driver Wholesale Banking at ING Bank (Amsterdam) came from the Netherlands to share his view of innovations at the banking industry. He talked about the growing importance of financial technologies and the cooperation between startups and traditional banks, such as ING. His speech raised a lot of interest among the Prinsjesdag guests.
During the impressive speech of Radek Špicar, Vice-President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, with his practical example of creative approach to innovations he gave from the time he spent in Škoda Auto, the audience could not help but listen carefully to every word that Radek Špicar had to say.
Having thanked all speakers and sponsors of the event, Pavel Šenych then invited participants to enjoy the Indonesian set of dishes “rijsttafel” (prepared by Zátiší Catering) that have become an inherent part of our Prinsjesdag event.
