PAY FAIR: Unleashing the Potential, Closing the Gender Gap

In honor of the International Women’s Day, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the NCCC Traders by Nature explored the topic of gender equality in the workplace.

Together, we echoed a powerful message: stereotypes and our own mindsets remain significant challenges, but the good news is that each of us holds the power to challenge them individually. And more importantly, companies have the opportunity to transform their working culture without waiting for new legislation, taking steps towards fostering equality within their organizations.

Andrea Bohačíková and her M.arter initiative introduced effective tools to keep employees engaged, so that their parental leave doesn’t hinder their potential. David Škrobánek, Founder of Dobrý táta (Good Daddy), reminded us that dads need and want to be present in their kids’ life, too, which should be normalized and supported with role models. Jindřich Fialka, Founder of Sto skupin, talked about the importance of setting up children’s group in companies, in the situation when in the Czech Republic, up to 130,000 places in daycare facilities are lacking.

The Embassy expressed special gratitude to Monika Šamová from Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, Lenka Simerská from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and Filip Pertold from CERGE-EI for providing the context and data. For free events, a no-show fee of 400,- CZK excl. VAT will be charged for non-attendance in case of no prior notification to the NCCC at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
For paid events, a no-show fee equivalent to 40% of the ticket price will be charged for non-attendance without prior notification to the NCCC at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
Exceptions to the no-show fee policy apply if I inform the NCCC at least 48 hours before the event start time that:

I will not be able to attend, or I have nominated another person to attend in my place, providing their name and contact email address to the NCCC.
