Thank you for celebrating the jubilee 10th Flower Power Spring Party with us! An event that is connected with corporate responsibility saw more than hundred NCCC members at the flower-decorated Žofín Garden and welcomed very inspiring guest speakers: Šimon Pánek and Sanjiv Suri.
The event was opened by Elias Drakopoulos, Chairman of the NCCC Board of Directors. H.E. Ed Hoeks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, mentioned the ongoing Netherlands EU Presidency and related interesting projects that the Embassy is organizing. Both Chairman Drakopoulos and Ambassador Hoeks appreciated the fruitful cooperation between NCCC and the Embassy.
Šimon Pánek, Co-founder and Executive Director of People in Need (Člověk v tísni), briefly introduced his organization and talked about the importance of cultivating the sociopolitical environment, not only by supporting NGOs but also by adhering moral values. He stressed that it is crucial to focus on the youth, so we can build a generation based on deeply rooted democratic principles.
Sanjiv Suri, Founder of the Zátiší Group, shared with us the key milestones of his life that shaped his personality and influenced his extremely successful career. He talked for instance about his transformation from "human doing" back to "human being", and meeting with Dalai Lama that left a deep impression on him.
Elias Drakopoulos then thanked both speakers for their very inspiring speeches and invited everybody to enjoy the delicious buffet dinner prepared by Zátiší Group, as well as meeting old friends and making new ones. Nobody could resist tasting the homemade ice-cream that was being prepared live on an Ice Pan. Besides that, guests of the Flower Power Spring Party admired the electric car Tesla Model S 85d from Business Lease that was presented in front of the Žofín Garden.
We would like to thank all those who joined us on 19 May, as well as our sponsors and partners.
