Shell and Kapka naděje Supporting Children Across the Czech Republic

An important part of this cooperation is the involvement of Shell customers through the Shell ClubSmart loyalty programme. By donating their collected loyalty points, customers help support Kapka naděje’s activities and contribute directly to projects benefiting children and healthcare facilities in various regions of the country. Thanks to this support, several significant projects were implemented this spring in Pilsen, Havlíčkův Brod and Zlín.

In May, Kapka naděje and Shell Czech Republic supported the Children’s Clinic of the University Hospital Pilsen with a donation of state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment worth more than CZK 2.5 million. The new technology will enable more accurate diagnostics and gentler treatment procedures while improving the comfort and safety of young patients during examinations. University Hospital Pilsen is among the healthcare institutions that Kapka naděje has been supporting for many years.

Another important project was the opening of a newly renovated children’s playground at the Psychiatric Hospital in Havlíčkův Brod. Kapka naděje contributed CZK 1.5 million towards the project. The playground provides children with a safe and stimulating space for outdoor activities, play and relaxation, which are essential components of both treatment and emotional well-being. The renovated area was designed to offer young patients an environment that supports recovery, therapy and everyday enjoyment.

Support is not limited to hospitals. This year, Kapka naděje once again took part in the Zlín Film Festival programme by organising its traditional Concert of Hope. David Koller & Band performed on stage, and thanks to the support of Kapka naděje’s general partner, Shell Czech Republic,the concert was free and open to the public. Visitors had the opportunity to support the cause through voluntary donations and the purchase of charity merchandise. Proceeds from the event will support the Children’s and Neonatal Department of the Tomáš Baťa Regional Hospital in Zlín.

These projects demonstrate the broad scope of the long-term partnership between Shell Czech Republic and the Kapka naděje Foundation. From supporting modern medical equipment and improving hospital environments for children to organising public fundraising events, the shared goal remains the same: helping children and their families through challenging times.
