Raben Logistics Slovakia, Transkam – Slovakia a Raben Trans Europe Slovakia (formerly Wincanton) are merged successfully

Raben Logistics Slovakia, Transkam – Slovakia and Raben Trans European Slovakia (formerly Wincanton) was merged as of 1 January, 2012. With this merger it has became one of the largest companies in the logistics industry in Slovakia.

The newly established company operates under the name of Raben Logistics Slovakia. It is to be the successor of all three above-mentioned companies. 

Raben Group that the three companies are part of, is one of the leading providers of logistics services that has been operating in the European market for more than 80 years. The company provided job opportunities for more than 8,000 people and operates 800,000 sq m of warehouse area in more than 133 depots in more than ten European countries. In Slovakia Raben Group has operated since 2008 after the take-over of Setto Spedition. During the two following years there was another acquisition in this market: The company acquired 100% share of Transkam – Logistika. With this move the company extended its range of service in the Slovak market by providing services in fresh product logistics. The most recent acquisition happened in 2011. Raben took over operations of international company Wincanton and is now operating under the name of Raben Trans European Slovakia.

The merger of all three companies under Raben Group was the logical outcome of the preceding events,” comments on the latest developments Luboš Korec, Raben Logistics Slovakia’s Managing Director. So a new logistics operator with more than 23,000 sq m of warehouse area together with four terminals deployed in the west, middle and east of Slovakia. The general manager of Raben in the Czech and Slovak Republic is Mr. Jaroslav Nezbeda. The managing director of Raben Logistics Slovakia remains to be Mr. Luboš Korec.
