PwC Legal enters the Czech market

New law firm PwC Legal, with offices in Prague and Brno has entered the Czech market. PwC Legal is a commercial transactions and project law firm, which offers a full range of legal services to all major industries. At the same time, a new legal firm PwC Legal has been announced in Slovakia. In addition to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the PwC Legal network serves clients globally in more than 75 countries worldwide.

“Czech PwC Legal team has the capabilities and experience to provide legal services ranging from day-to-day legal advice and compliance services to complex commercial transactions, dispute resolutions and litigation. Our new law firm will complement existing PwC network consulting services offering and reinforce our leading position in the Czech market by providing our clients with high quality, commercially focused legal services,” Paul Stewart, PwC Tax and Legal Services lead Partner in the Czech Republic.

PwC Legal is starting with a team of more than 15 experienced lawyers headed by Daniel Čekal in Prague and Jan Hladký in Brno.

“Our goal is to develop a high quality transaction and project law firm that can successfully compete with well-established international and high-ranking local law firms. We plan to expand our team and the scope of services we provide over time.  Our key areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, insolvency projects, real estate projects, e-business and IT, and EU funds advice for clients in the private, public and energy sectors,“ added Daniel Čekal, head of PwC Legal.
