This year again everyone can become part of the Salvation Army campaign NOCLEŽENKA (Night voucher) and help homeless people to stay overnight in the warmth of Salvation army´s night shelter.
The season of Nocleženka starts from 1st of November or with the first cold nights and ends at the end of April.
By buying a nocleženka voucher in the value of CZK 100, you will support a particular homeless person who will be able to spend a&nbsnbsp;night in the warmth of a Salvation Army's night shelter thanks to your gift; but this is not just a regular overnight lodging; the homeless person will also have a soup with bread, a hot beverage and they will also have the opportunity to take a shower and to use the facilities for personal hygiene. Every purchased Nocleženka is assigned a number that is carefully registered so the donor can be informed when "their" Nocleženka is used. Each transaction is assigned one Nocleženka, which is printed directly in the night shelter, passed on to a field worker who then hands it directly to a person in need.
23.000 donors supported NOCLEŽENKA last season 2018/2019, which is an incredible number and we and especially our clients are very thankful for that! We hope that this season will be even better.
Our vision is to help homeless people to find their way back to a stable home. But one overnight stay could be only a 1st step on the long way to get home.
