KPMG No. 1 in mergers & acquisitions

According to the current index by Mergemarket, an independent mergers and acquisitions (M&A) intelligence service, KPMG in the Czech Republic is the No. 1 financial advisor in M&A for 2011 in the Czech Republic. It became a leader both in the number of transactions and in their volume, acting as an advisor on 14 transactions with an overall value of USD 439 million.

Two years in a row KPMG has succeeded in The World’s Most Attractive Employers index

KPMG, the global network of professional firms, has been ranked second for two years running on the index of The World’s Most Attractive Employers. Universum, a global talent consultant, develops its global index of the top 50 most attractive employers every year by asking students pursuing business and engineering degrees to identify their ideal employers. In 2011, 160,000 students from the world’s top academic institutions participated.
Last year, KPMG announced that its member firms will hire approximately 75,000 campus graduates worldwide, representing a 25-percent increase in campus resourcing targets. KPMG in the Czech Republic recruited 80 graduates in 2011 and is planning to employ a similar number this year.

KPMG named Sustainable Firm of the Year 2012

The KPMG global network of professional firms was named sustainable Firm of the Year 2012 by the International Accounting Bulletin as part of its IAB Awards. Amid strong competition, it showed its outstanding results in corporate social responsibility initiatives and proved the high quality of its sustainability services.

In addition to the firm’s 29 percent reduction in global carbon emissions since 2007, the IAB judges recognised KPMG as the only professional services organisation at a global level to participate in the supply chain programme of the Carbon Disclosure Project. The panel also commended the Sustainability Summit held recently in New York in collaboration with the UN Global Compact, United Nations Environmental Program, and the World Business Council on Sustainable Development.
