Internship - Finance in the innovation team - Impact Hub
In the innovation team, we decided to open the door to proactive university students who, before graduating, are looking for practical experience in an environment where topics such as sustainability, social responsibility, circularity or the climate crisis resonate. We want to design the internships as as practical as possible, you will look under the fingers of the program managers of our acceleration programs, a colleague who manages the finances of the programs or our COO. We expect a new wind and ideas from the trainees. And who knows, with mutual satisfaction, your destroying story doesn't have to end with one internship 🙂
What will you learn during the internship?
Your main mentor will be Vítek, who rules over finances and numbers in the Hub innovation team. Vítek will be happy to introduce you to the secrets of financial management, such as the budgets of our activities - especially acceleration programs diverse in terms of thematic content, but also the amount of budget, partner organizations (corporations, foundations - both Czech and international, etc.), reporting requirements a reporting.
You will take on some tasks in the field of financial reporting (surprise, surprise, Google sheets will be your daily bread), accounting (you will probably help with the control of documents, invoices, allocate costs to the right cost centers, etc.) or controlling. So really a little bit from every corner. By not having a big team to drive, you will really be "hands on".
Among other things, you will see how budgets are created, what are the most common difficulties we deal with, how we deal with them, how and what we communicate to program managers. You look at team meetings and help us unravel some of the intricacies that arise.
Are you the one we're looking for?
You can't do without basic knowledge of accounting (you know terms like VAT, corrective tax document, receivable, etc.) and better than user knowledge of Excel, resp. GSheets (you know at least contingents, basic functions like VLOOKUP, etc.) - and most importantly you both really enjoy it.
We ideally imagine university students in economics (but this is not a condition) with a proactive approach, common sense and a sense of data.
We appreciate analytical thinking, above-average diligence and independence.
You will need good communication skills - both in Czech and English, technical knowledge - the basis is MS Office, GSuite, Trello, Slack.
And above all, insight and humor - to fit in with us 🙂
What will you find with us?

Friendly and human corporate culture, support from a great team of professionals from whom you can learn a lot.
Time-flexible internship with the arrival of ASAP (we can adapt to your schedule).
