Florin Trandafirescu appointed Managing Director of Unilever Czech Republic/Slovakia

Florin Trandafirescu (49), former Managing Director of Inmarko, Unilever Ice Cream company in Russia, is appointed as a Managing Director for Czech and Slovak business as from 1 November, 2012.

Florin joined Unilever in 1997 after 5 years with Siemens. During his career with Unilever he has been moving through a number of roles in supply chain. Following an international assignment in the UK he was appointed as Supply Chain Director of South-Central Europe and later on as Vice President of Supply Chain for Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Following that, since 2008 he has been the Managing Director of Inmarko, the acquired Ice Cream business in Russia.

As Managing Director CR/SR he will be responsible for managing the business in both, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Current Czech Sales Director Lubomír Bratko will become new Country and Sales Director in Slovakia.

Florin is of Romanian nationality and has spent his professional career in Unilever in a great blend of jobs based in Romania and abroad. This combination gave him an experience to work across cultures and at the same time to build up immense understanding and knowledge of the Czech and Slovak region and its challenges.

Florin graduated the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and is passionate about people and sports. He is married and has a 19 years old son who studies in England.
