NL Embassy: Kitchen Talk with Pieter De Buysser

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands would like to cordially invite you to a debate with Pieter De Buysser, a Dutch-speaking writer who lives and works in Brussels.

In his work, Pieter De Buysser ponders over and challenges contemporary everyday life. While being highly alert to current social, political and human issues, he constantly reflects and questions our day-to-day presence. What does he think about the recent events in Europe and his neighbourhood Molenbeek? How does he, as an artist, perceive the functioning of this Brussels multicultural district? Is working with the local community a way to diffuse tensions and reduce polarization in society? And what role can the creative environment play in the lives of people who have never been to the theatre? Pieter De Buysser will also talk about his novel The Stonecutters, the Czech translation of which will be published in June by Argo.

This project is part of the 2016 Dutch-Flemish cultural cooperation programme in the Czech Republic.

Additionally, by registering for this event, I acknowledge and agree to the following no-show fee policy, that applies to both members and non-members of the NCCC Traders by Nature.

For free events, a no-show fee of 400,- CZK excl. VAT will be charged for non-attendance in case of no prior notification to the NCCC at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
For paid events, a no-show fee equivalent to 40% of the ticket price will be charged for non-attendance without prior notification to the NCCC at least 48 hours before the start of the event.
Exceptions to the no-show fee policy apply if I inform the NCCC at least 48 hours before the event start time that:

I will not be able to attend, or I have nominated another person to attend in my place, providing their name and contact email address to the NCCC.
