The 8th annual Flower Power Spring Party was held at a new location with beautiful surroundings, the NH Hotel in the Il Giardino restaurant. It was a sunny warm evening and the guests could enjoy a wonderful view of Prague. The main topic of the Flower Power Spring Party remained Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

After the welcome speeches by Pavel Šenych, Vice-Chairman of the NCCC and H.E. Ed Hoeks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Czech Republic, Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Mládek shared with the audience the approach of the Ministry of Trade and Industry as an CSR National Contact Point. We would like to thank him for his presence and participation in the event of the NCCC.

Furthermore, we had a chance to listen to an “interview” of our Board Member responsible for CSR activities, Miloš Malaník, and our guest of honor, Petr Sýkora, from Good Angel. His inspiring attitude to corporate (personal) responsibility and humility could be an example for everyone. Petr Sýkora told us briefly, of his journey from the establishment of a very prosperous company, Papirius, through the sale of it to Office Depot, and the establishment of the foundation, Good Angel. He revealed his intentions why he did so, and summarized the main principles of how Good Angel works, and whom it helps. More information about Petr Sýkora is in the interview here. Miloš Malaník then gave the participants a short overview from the NCCC Corporate Responsibility Club for year 2013, and shared the future plans which we continuously share with you on our website, and in the Bulletin.

Petr Nešpůrek, General Manager at NH Prague, invited guests for the regular brunch, informed us about the hotel reconstruction and concluded the official program with an invitation to the String Quartet concert on the terrace.

We would like to thank our sponsors and partners for their support of this happening. Many thanks goes also to LorDDekor's, Helena Roubíčková, as the flowers gave this event a special atmosphere.

Prior to the Flower Power Spring Party, the Annual General Meeting took place in restaurant Il Giardino. Pavel Šenych (Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors) informed the members about the activities in 2013 and the plans for this and next year. The Verification Board was approved unanimously.
