Simple cooking, available ingredients and incredibly tasty, extraordinary meals. And, on top of that, a truly entertaining chef Alayham Ghanem, Sous Chef at Hilton Prague Old Town. All of this, along with the beautiful, Christmas-decorated Hilton Prague Old Town, and a group of nice culinary enthusiasts, made the last evening of November an unforgettable experience, and one of the best cooking classes that the NCCC has ever organized, as some participants said.
Having enjoyed a welcome drink in the Lobby, we moved to the Hotel kitchen, where Alayham awaited us in a very good mood. He introduced the Middle Eastern Menu that he had prepared, and we were pleased to learn that he decided to include one extra meal for us. As the evening continued, we were watching, assisting, asking tens of questions and finally… we curiously tasted all of the meals. And we were really impressed.
Yet the tasting experience from the kitchen was even surpassed, by the dinner that was properly served in the Zinc Restaurant. Not only did the food taste extremely delicious, it also looked beautiful. We enjoyed the dinner very much, and also we were happy to learn more about our member FOREWEAR, and the sheltered workshop Fokus Vysočina, the beneficiary of the full entrance fees of this Charity Cooking Class (CZK 10,500). FOREWEAR recycles clothes, and with the help of the needle women in Fokus Vysočina, they turn them into design company-branded products. You can learn more about the FOREWEAR project at www.forewear.cz/spoluprace-s-fokus-vysocina.
We would like to thank Zuzana Kubicová, HR Coordinator, Alayham Ghanem, Sous Chef at the Hilton Prague Old Town, Zuzana Tančáková, Restaurant & Bar Manager at the Hilton Prague Old Town, and the rest of the HPOT’s team for this great evening and for taking such good care for us. We look forward to other successful events organized in cooperation with the Hilton Hotels in Prague next year.
